On Monday morning, a discussion began to erupt on Crypto Twitter regarding a potential Youtube blackout of industry channels. First, only a few channels were purportedly affected; Canadian Bitcoin educator “BTCSessions” and pro-crypto finance Youtube channel Chris Dunn reported that a number of their videos were taken down due to “harmful and dangerous” content.<\/p>\n
At first, few gave the issue notice, for it could have easily been a minor glitch on the side of the video hosting platform. But by mid-afternoon and evening on Monday, other crypto-centric Youtubers \u2014 including names like popular Bitcoin<\/a> price analyst “Sunny Decree” and crypto programmer-turned-educator “Ivan on Tech<\/a>,” both of which have tens of thousands of subscribers \u2014 had seen a number of their videos taken down as well.<\/p>\n YouTube is currently attacking the #Crypto<\/a> community by banning crypto-youtubers.@IvanOnTech<\/a> is one of the affected.
